Let me introduce myself - my name is Conrad ('Coenraad') Heijdemann. I have been an interpreter and translator since 1988, specialised in simultaneous interpreting.
It is several decades ago that I became an interpreter and translator. Since then I have interpreted and translated for all kinds of clients, ranging from government institutions to multinational corporations, from private clients to NGOs, from EU organisations to the Dutch Central Office of Information (for instance, at the wedding of [now] King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maximá). I am familiar with the terminologie of many different fields and subjects, and I have worked with all kinds of interpreting equipment - and I own a set of wireless equipment myself.
And I should mention that remote interpreting through the Internet has, understandably, become very popular. Ask me how the different systems work...
Since I have a background in both the Netherlands and the United Kingdom (I lived in the UK for years, and now divide my time between the Netherlands and the UK), both my Dutch (mother tongue) and my English (near-native) are excellent.
Why am I the right choice?
- More than 25 years of experience
- The right professional training
- Sworn in by the Dutch court
- 'Near-native' English*
- Mother tongue Dutch
- My own interpreting equipment
- To be hired with a colleague and/or with equipment
- To be hired for remote interpreting (aka interpreting through the Internet)
*Having lived in Great Britain for years, and currently dividing my time between the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, I speak English almost as if it were my native language. And with Dutch being my mother tongue, I render an excellent interpretation in both languages.
